Records made from unconventional materials seem to be catching on, we've already seen ice records and even X-Ray records, and now you can create your own records out of materials such as wood, or acrylic and even paper.

Seeking to make a method of record production more available to people without access to 3D printing services, Amanda Ghassaei developed a more accessible way of fabricating records with a laser cutter. This technique enables the user to download a vector file and print the MP3 of their choosing on a variety of materials. Each material has its own unique sound that is certainly a bit DIY in tune.
