Winter Illumination
A botanical garden in Japan mesmerises its visitors with a dazzling scenery of millions of LED lights
Christmas is getting closer, and we're all preparing to get flooded with mixed bag of sparkling snowflakes, festive trees, and snowmen. However, for the past years Japan has been turning this predictable concept on its head.
Situated on the Nagashima Island, the Nabana no Santo botanical garden mesmerises its visitors every year with a dazzling scenery of millions of LED lights. This year’s theme is ”nature” and it includes a view of Mountain Fiji at dawn, a brilliant representation of aurora borealis, and a 100 meters long tunnel of shining cherry blossoms.
If you haven’t made plans yet for your Christmas holiday, consider making a trip to Japan. The eye-catching winter installation will be on display until March 31, 2013.
