Ever had that annoying feeling where you know a track has sampled another song but you can't work out where from? Well now a new app, Who Sampled, can remove all the hassle by working it out for you. The site, WhoSampled.com, has long been a resource for music geeks trying to work out just where their favourite samples were from. Now, this database has been opened up for your smart-phone's with a neat app which scans your music library to, 'discover it's DNA.'  It can tell you all the samples, covers and remixes associated with each song and allows you to compare two tracks side-by-side, listen to the originals on YouTube, or find out more information about each sample (sample type, part sampled etc). With 54,000 artists included, it's a pretty thorough database.

A useful tool for music nerds and first-timers alike, check it out here!
