Teens on the bad, ugly and LOL sides of growing up with social media
'Having So Much Fun At The Beach' is an original Protein commission exploring a new youth generation growing up with social media at their fingertips. The film, directed by award-winning filmmaker Lucy Luscombe, was inspired by Screen Age Kicks – a feature in The Age Report, where we explore how technology is influencing Gen Y attitudes.
Far from championing nor condemning this cultural shift, the film explores how social media affects kids from the age of ten to eighteen interacting online today – from expressing their personality, to meeting girls to getting revenge.
In the latest Protein Journal we’ve published The Age Report, a 32-page document revealing why attitudes to age are changing and how the behaviours we consider appropriate for certain age groups are being drastically re-examined. To celebrate we're looking at the the people and ideas breaking down age-based stereotypes all this week.
Check back in on Friday to see Lucy Luscombe's full film live on Prote.in
