Wasbar
Is it a café? Is it a hair salon? Is it a launderette? Meet the Swiss Army knife of retail spaces.
With the busy schedules so many people have, being as efficient as possible with your time is essential. This means that the opportunity to get multiple things done at once, and in one place, is always welcome. Wasbar, a multi-functional business opened in Ghent in Belgium, serves as a hair salon, a café and a launderette all in one location. With the idea being that while people are waiting for the washing cycle to complete they can get trim or a relaxing cup of tea.
The business was put together by design studio Pinkeye, and despite being a launderette, café and a salon, the space manages to simultaneously look like all three. The ‘store’ is the first in a proposed chain that’s looking to expand to other parts of Belgium.
