A new, multi-disciplinary creative space from Savoir Faire, the same group responsible for David Lynch’s night-spot, Silencio, has opened on the banks of the Seine in Paris.

Designed by local architects, Jacob MacFarlane, Wanderlust boasts the largest terrace in the city, an 80-seat open-air cinema, a bar, a club, and restaurant run by noted chef, Benjamin Darnaud. Operating as far more than a social or cultural space, Wanderlust , according to owner Arnaud Frisch, is intended to ‘abolish the boundaries between creative activities and relaxation spaces.’ As well as club nights, drinking and dining, there are early morning yoga classes to be enjoyed, workshops, vintage flea markets and a pop-up store.

At the moment, we’re becoming accustomed to hearing about offices being turned into playgrounds to foment creativity and networking / working spaces such as London’s Apartment58 resembling the home environment so it’s interesting to see the idea of double or even multi-duty being played out in a leisure setting - especially one that doesn't require membership or occur in a temporary structure. Watch this space for more of the same.
