Created by Russian art collective TUNDRA, Void is an audio visual installation that uses panoramic projections and deep, all-consuming sound collaboratively to create a fully immersive sensory experience.

Located in the Saint Petersburg's Loft Project Etagi Gallery, Void is comprised of 360º projections coupled with deep, foreboding electronic music. Stand in the centre of the installation and these elements attempt to visualise and create a state of emptiness within the viewer that is completely alien to that of the outside world.

Constructed as a ‘social experiment to see how long people can stay totally calm,’ Void bombards the senses with overwhelming stimulation in a darkened room to block out all other thought. To enhance the sensation of 'nothingness' if the installation detects a ringing phone it disrupts the visuals, encouraging you to focus on the emptiness of it all.

TUNDRA are an multi disciplinary collective comprised of musicians, sound engineers, programmers and visual artists. This type of multi-sensory project is reminiscent of Dreamscape, as both projects utilise innovative sound and light projections to form a fully engaging experience.
