Edwin Japan has a longstanding dedication to improving efficiency, quality, construction and washing methods by studying and engineering machineryused in the denim manufacturing process. To celebrate this legacy, the companyhas created a video documentary called 'Unique Denim Manufacture', which takes a look around the company’s everydaysurroundings and a peek at some of its production methods.

With a style similar to ‘a day in the life of’, the short film begins by day, payinghomage to the culture and character of the surrounding neighbourhood of thefactory just outside of Tokyo. As the day progresses, snippets introduce us to thedenim technicians and individually customised machines that play a vital part inthe manufacturing process.

The outcome of the film is clear; the spirit of craftsmanship lives on, but it’sthe way in which the film brings the true craftsmen and their commitment andattention to the product to the forefront of the brand.
