Clothing brand Uniqlo have asked four creatives to turn their LifeWear range into works of art.

To mark Uniqlo’s new LifeWear range, the brand have partnered with It’s Nice That and four creatives to represent Uniqlo’s LifeWear philosophy. Artist Nick Veasey, designer Jesse Auersalo, digital artist Thomas Traum and photographer Rebecca Scheinberg were tasked with bringing to life Uniqlo’s innovative use of modern design.

The result included a video of Uniqlo’s HEATTECH technology fabric in motion by Auersalo, X-ray photographs of the Men’s Ultra Light Down Parka by Veasey, up close and personal shots of the Women's Cashmere Crew Neck Sweater by Scheinberg, and an abstract film inspired by the ripples in the Women’s Light Pocketable Parka by Traum.

Collaborations have the potential to soar, or crash and burn. Oftentimes, brands retain too tight a grip on the output to enable their collaborators to make any real creative input. In handing over creative control to the four artists, Uniqlo demonstrate what a collaboration can do, creating something hypnotic, beautiful, and that reflects Uniqlo’s innovative design.
