Christmas markets tend to involve a lot of arts, crafts and scented soaps. But a new festive market that's popped-up in Russell Square in London is taking a much more scientific approach. Hosted by ‘So Far, The Future', the market features a wide range of science and design themed gifts with specially curated spaces from science and design collectives. Super/Collider, for instance, is selling a range of screenprints and science-themed recycled stationary, while Luminous Books is selling a selection of vintage astronomy and science books.

There's also the Original Egg-Bot, a robotic device that can draw on spherical objects, which people can use to personalise their own christmas baubles with everything from a simple etch-a-sketch design to more complex patterns.

The fair is only open for two more days so head down to 44 Emerald Street WC1N to check it out.
