When people started showing up an hour early to the opening of Mike Schreiber's TRUE Hip-Hop exhibition and book launch, we knew it was going to be an awesome night.   Cheers to everyone that came down to celebrate Mike Schreiber's work with us. We've got a few snaps of the night, which you can check out below but if you couldn't make it down last night the show is open till next Thursday (minus Saturday). You can expect to see twelve of Mike's most famous works from his book, all black and white and hung up against a blank white backdrop are: Dwele, Nas, Black Star, Mos Def, Common, Maino, C-Murder, Jermaine Dupri, M.I.A., ODB, Wu Hands and Voletta Wallace (Biggie’s mother). We’ve got the night covered on film too - keep your eyes peeled for a Protein Profile film on Mike Schreiber, featuring Q+A from the night and Mike’s stories behind his photographs. We’ve got a signed copy of TRUE Hip-Hop to giveaway, just ‘like’ us on our Facebook fan page here by end of today and you’ll be in the win. Also, be sure to check our 18 Hewett Street website to stay in the loop for whats to come. Photos credit: Teddy Fitzhugh
