Transforming
An exhibition of Rob & Nick Carter in collaboration with MPC presents a series of classic paintings given a dynamic technological makeover
A major exhibition of British artist duo Rob and Nick Carter in collaboration with creative VFX studio MPC present a series of dynamic and technologically advanced modern artworks.
Rob and Nick Carter: Transforming unveils a body of work that reengages with art of the past, harnessing cutting edge new media to create, MPC have collaborated with the artists on six ground breaking artworks, including four ‘digital paintings’ that come to life before the viewer's eyes, and two bronze sculptures created via a complex 3D modelling and printing process. Amongst the works are Vincent van Gogh's Sunflowers (1888) and Transforming Still Life (1618) by Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder.
MPC - who we recently also praised for their installation Fracture.io - have also created an installation within the exhibition itself, allowing visitors to go behind the scenes of the works, interacting with them and discovering how they were created.
The exhibition will take place at The Fine Art Society and runs from October 4th until November 2nd.
