Earlier in the week we featured Louis Vuitton's Objets Nomades, a concept travel collection debuted at Design Miami. Louis Vuitton were not the only luxury fashion brand to make their mark on the design festival, with Fendi's Transformations another interesting exhibit.

Fendi teamed up with Belgian designer Maarten de Ceulaer to create an installation of stripy furniture reminiscent of the geometric and abstract forms of Futurism and the Bauhaus. The designer drew inspiration from the iconic Fendi motif and their modern brand identity to create a 3D environment exploring, 'the boundaries between hard and soft, natural and man made, luxurious and mundane.'

It's not the first time Fendi have commissioned experiential installations - earlier in the year they showcased Craftica, a range of domestic objects made from a mixture of leather off-cuts and natural materials. It's interesting to see an increasing number of luxury brands go beyond the traditional collection to engage consumers.
