Trace is a new device that allows thrill seekers and adrenaline junkies to track, measure, share, compare and log their ski, skate and surf runs.

Shockproof, waterproof and durable, the small round pod is highly versatile and can be attached to any surface, letting the user accurately measure their high-octane extreme sporting performance. Combining inertial sensors and GPS technology, the device connects via bluetooth to the user's smartphone. The ActiveReplay feature allows them to access their data after a session and share this information with their friends via their network, or a live leader board. Whats more, the Explore function enables users the to see where others are logging the best waves or ski runs, providing, in realtime, a means of seeking out the best thrills and biggest swells.

With the insatiable demand for wearable technology (think back to ParaShoot and Nymi) and self-quant devices these days, it's no surprise Trace recently reached its funding target of $150,000 via its Kickstarter campaign, whereby backers could pre-order the full kit of $149 USD.
