Topshop Unique
The clothes retail giant's Fashion Week Tate Modern show will be live streamed to virtual reality headsets
By donning specially commissioned, virtual reality headsets located in its flagship Oxford Street store, visitors will be transported to the front row of Unique, Topshop's Spring/Summer 2014 London Fashion Week show, taking place in the Turbine Hall of the Tate Modern.
Rethinking the live experience by opening it up to anyone lucky enough to get their hands on a headset, Topshop, working with Shoreditch-based production agency Inition, are transforming how we can experience live events using technology that allows for unprecedented levels of immersion.
The headsets will be available to customers at the store on the 16th, 17th and 18th February after the event itself has taken place.
Topshop also plans to publish easily shareable content across multiple digital channels - including 360º images posted throughout the event, related music on iTunes, a live Twitter gallery, clips on Vine, as well as certain items being available to order online as they appear on the catwalk.
