A new 21-item furniture collection intends to take consumer/creator interaction to the next level, by combining an open source design process with high quality craftsmanship and low-cost mass production.

Phillipe Starck is taking the lead on TOG, or ‘All Creators Together’, which places items from renowned designers into an open source platform, allowing customers to actively participate in the creative process, for example, by selecting the colour and form. The buyer can choose spare pieces from a pre-made panel to assemble themselves or acquire the pack as-is for customisation. By using the TOG app, it's also possible to commission from a network of artisans, including weavers, upholsters or painters, to add a unique finishing touch.

All products are made using low-cost, mass production techniques with the\r\nintention of keeping them lightweight, affordable, and easy to assemble. Each personalised piece can\r\neither be shipped directly to the client or downloaded as a blueprint for 3D printing.
