We’ve all, at least once, slipped into a photo booth to take some goofy pictures. Now designer Talia Radford and digital media artist Jonas Bohatsch decided to make use of this simple and silly pleasure and developed an interactive booth that takes pictures whenever users touch our kiss.

Exhibited at Vienna Design Week, Thermobooth uses a conductive rug connected to a MaKey MaKey circuit board to detect skin-to-skin contact. When this happens, the circuit that triggers the shutter is closed, and the camera fires an array of OLED flashlights. Next users just have to wait for the printer to produce a lo-fi thermal photo of their warm-hearted moment.
