E-retailer Zady launches its own apparel collection as a testament to its commitment to transparency and sustainability
Nowadays transparency is a trait desirable in more than just governments and public institutions, it is a prerequisite for any business in a post-social media world. By promoting only brands with sustainable practices, the US retailer Zady has been at the forefront of this trend from the beginning.

And now Zady is launching its own clothing line as a testament to its commitment to a ‘full disclosure’ philosophy. Called The Essential Collection, the brand is putting forward just one piece of apparel at a time, while documenting and making available for anyone to see the entire supply chain process. The first piece (01. The Sweater) consists in a cozy sweater, 100% of which is made in the USA, from wool sourcing to the actual knitting.

Besides the new line, Zady also launched a petition to the government of the United States that asks for clothing labels to include a 'Sourced In' mention in addition to the regular 'Made In'
