Back in 2012 British artist Sean Rogg launched The Waldorf Project, an immersive installation piece connecting the senses through food, scent, drink, movement, sound and environment.  In 2013 Proteindocumented the second chapter in Rogg’s Project in which colour took centre stage.  This was just a test performance though, and now Rogg is ready to present his finalised concept.

"In 2013 we did a very low fi test performance," explains Rogg. "It was not an official Waldorf project. My ideas were so ambitious I wanted to stage a think tank to test out ideas. We changed the chef and the menu each night, played with different colours and sound levels and performance intensity. Small venue small budget. Was not comparable to magnitude of chapter two at all."

Set over a period of seven nights, The Waldorf Project Chapter Two/COLOUR explores the concept of colour through art, food design, fine wine, choreography and theatre. Guests are lead through seven different environments, each incorporating elements of the five senses, to experience ‘colour beyond the visual’. The multi-sensory experience will include a seven-course meal, accompanied by seven different fine wines. The project's an elaborate celebration of synesthesia, a theme gaining popularity amongst today's artistic community. Taking place in Oval Space, and lasting three hours per event, the sheer size of the project alone will make it noteworthy.

The Waldorf Project Chapter Two/COLOUR opens on Thursday the 5th of February at Oval Space, 29-32 The Oval, London E2 9DT and runs until Wednesday the 11th. Tickets are available here.
