The Triple Decker Record is a 7" single for The Dead Weather, encased in a 12" record. To access the 7", the 12" must be cracked open and destroyed. Quantities were limited to 300, but it appears to be sold out.
Past releases from the leader of the now defunct White Stripes and 2013 Record Store Day Ambassador include X-Ray Records, Texas-Sized 13" LPs, Under Label Groove, as well as scented, glow-in-the-dark and multicoloured vinyl. The once-doomed medium is alive and well, especially with help from people like Jack White.
