This August the global creative community Flux is screening the world premiere of N.A.S.A’s film ‘The Spirit of Apollo’ at the Hammer museum in Los Angeles. N.A.S.A is a creative collaboration between Sam Spiegel and DJ Zegon that brings together eclectic musicians for its projects - remember when they launched the 'Strange Enough’ video featuring Karen O, ODB and produced by Protein fam Terence Teh? The Spirit of Apollo documents the making of N.A.S.A.'s debut album of the same name. Behind-the-scenes footage of visual artists and animators including Shepard Fairey, Sage Vaughn, Syd Garon and Lorenzo Fonda give us incredible insight into how everything came together.   At the premiere there will also be a screening of Spike Jonze’s new music video, live screen-printing from the Hit and Run crew, and an after-party with special guest DJs.   We've been following the work of Sam Spiegel and Sage Vaughn for awhile now, the two talented artists are both involved in the recently launched Beck's Green Box Project, an awesome global art fund happening over the next 3 years. We hear that The Spirit Of Apollo might be hitting London soon ... stay tuned for more on that tip.
