Colorado-based artists Jen Lewin combined art, architecture and technology for her new interactive installation, The Pool.

She put together 106 circular platforms that are able to communicate wirelessly, with each pad changing colour based on user feedback. As a person places pressure with their foot on the pad’s surface, light ripples, of varying intensity, are sent in that direction. A stronger lean can cause a ripple to jump rings, and even fill an entire pool. All together they create complex colour arrays. The more people participate, the more ripples are created.
