John Malkovich's new film is out in 100 years
Fans of Academy Award-winning actor John Malkovich will be pleased to hear that he’s just released the trailer for his latest movie. But in a very meta move the film, 100 Years, won’t actually be in cinemas till 2115.
100 Years explores what the world might look like a century from now with three potential future scenarios – high-tech, return to nature, dystopian – which you can catch a glimpse of in a series of trailers.
For now, the actual film, which was produced to help promote luxury cognac brand Louis XIII, is being kept behind safely-sealed bulletproof glass; and those who have tickets are being advised to pass them on to their descendants.
The campaign highlights Louis XIII’s heritage and quality. After all the brandy does take a century to come of age, and bottles that are currently on sale were originally made in 1915.
“Louis XIII is a true testament to the mastery of time and we sought to create a proactive piece of art that explores the dynamic relationship of the past, present and future,” explains global executive director of Louis XIII, Ludovic du Plessis.
