Play god with The Miracle Machine, a new device that quite literally turns water into wine. Bringing together Silicon Valley technology and Napa Valley wine expertise, business founders Kevin Boyers and Philip James are amongst a new wave of entrepreneurs seeking to disrupt retail paths through the implementation of new technologies and smart services.

As with Shaken Cocktails, The Miracle Machine has the option of a monthly subscription service sent straight to your front door. For under $10 per month you will receive enough kit to make a bottle of wine a week. Simply add the ingredients - grape concentrate, yeast and water - to the fermentation chamber and select the type of wine you want to make and voila, the app-controlled device handles the rest, giving you drinkable wine in just a few days.

The duo will soon be retailing the product for $499 once it's successfully crowdfunded.
