For London Restaurant Festival a pop-up restaurant is taking over the tunnels of the city for a mythical culinary affair. Within the underground taverns of the Old Vic theatre, the two week long pop-up dining experience called The Minotaur will offer creative cuisine alongside cutting-edge artwork and film. The Minotaur is a collaboration between the Michelin-star restaurant of Berlin caterers Kofler & Kompanie (Pret A Diner) and the Lazarides gallery. The partnership sees dishes served up by world-class chefs and Minotaur-inspired art curated by Steve Lazarides . The exhibition-cum-restaurant will be re-imagining the Labyrinth dwelling of the bull-headed Minotaur creature from the Ancient Greek fable in an unconventional eating environment. Interesting things happen when the worlds of food and art combine, and we look forward to seeing more innovative projects like this that provide unique dining experiences. The Minotaur kicks off on 10th October. Tickets cost £75, with a percentage of that price going to the Old Vic Theatre Trust.
