The Long Table is East London’s first ever night time food market which is due to launch on Friday 25th November.

The initiative has been founded by the creators of the Dalston Roof Park and Nuno Mendez of The Loft Project. The latest enterprise is a continuation of the trend in new-age dining with a central focus on enhancing a local community experience. The importance of local chefs, purveyors and producers is emphasised as a crucial element of the Long Table market. Visitors will be able to sample a large variety of different international cuisines while engaging in a communal space. The venue provides a long table where people can dine together throughout the evening. People are encouraged to partake in the longest online table in the world, via Twitter @TheLongTableAS and TheLongTable.net

The covered night market will run from Friday 25th November and continue every Friday night, from 6pm until midnight, until Christmas. The location of the market is a large space between Dalston Junction and Kingsland Road. The space itself features a World War 2 Bunker which will house a different visual art exhibit each week. The transformation of the space is suggestive of the re-development of the Dalston area which is becoming the forefront of a new creative endeavors in London.
