New York’s Ace Hotel continues its impressive run of interesting collaborations, this time teaming up with The Impossible Project. The Impossible Project was set up a few years ago to keep the art of Polaroid photography alive by producing instant film for the cult cameras. Now it is providing every room - yes every room - in the Ace Hotel with a refurbished Polaroid camera and ‘Impossible x Ace Hotel’ PX 600 Silver Shade instant black & white film. Guests are encouraged to capture moments of their trip using the provided cameras and custom film. Next August the results from the project including photo entries from fans will be exhibited in a gallery show hosted by the hotel.   Currently on show is the ’24 Hours Of Ace’ exhibition where friends of the hotel including Adam Goldberg, Dave Ortiz and Elijah Wood have offered their own photos for display.   Increasingly businesses are collaborating within the arts world to enhance the experience of their consumers with concepts like this.
