Swedish furniture brand IKEA recently launched a temporary apartment in a Parisian subway station.

Located in one of France's busiest metro stations, IKEA created a temporary flat for five people to live in over the course of six days. Commuters were able to watch the housemates in action whilst viewing the function of the brand's furniture within the space. The assembly of the pop-up flat was captured in a video which you can view below.

The apartment was created to demonstrate what you can do with IKEA furniture within a limited space whilst maintaining an aesthetically pleasing and functional layout. The location provided a great way for lots of people to see the project on their passing and sustained impact for commuters on their daily travels via the station. IKEA also created an online buzz for the campaign by creating a Facebook competition to win one evening's stay at the flat.

The brand have previous history with campaigns of this nature as it launched a similar idea with Mark Lives In Ikea where a comedian lived and recorded his experience within an IKEA store.
