Cities might be getting bigger, but connecting with regional growers is easier than ever according to the team behind a new book. The Field Guide to Victorian Produce pinpoints grower communities and personalities scattered around the state, from the city of Melbourne to borders further afield.

Headed up by Ewan McEoin (who was behind the very successful Melbourne and Sydney Design Guides a few years back), the publication features stories, well-designed maps and profiles on over 300 Victorian growers, producers and providers. Markets, farms, local chefs, farm stays and food trails are all included, while two indexes make the guide as practical as it is beautiful. The complementary website also features up-to-date information, profiles, interviews, relevant news and local events.

By identifying a burgeoning grower community, the guide encourages fellow Victorians to connect with and support produce on a local level.
