From the 'Edible Inventor', Charlie Harry Francis, the man behind such highly practical creations as the popcorn hairdryer, the nitro ice cream buggy, the soup washing machine, glow in the dark and viagra ice creams, come The Edible Mist Machines.
Perfect for people with an eye on their waist-lines but a taste for the bad stuff, The Edible Mist Machines uses 'ultrasonic vaporisation' to extract the flavour from more or less any food you can think of, before turning it into a calorie free micro-mist of its base. The mist can then be sucked through a straw for an instant flavour hit without the pangs of guilt.
So far, the machine can cater for most pallets, with over 200 flavours including mango, popcorn, ice-cream, cotton candy, bacon and lobster. If you can't find your flavour on the menu, not to worry, there are plans to create new flavours; 'your favourite book' and 'hair' being two of them.
Machines can be booked as single stations for palate cleansers and single flavour hits or as multiple machines for taster sessions to flavour theme an event, but could there ever be a practical dietary application for edible mist?
