Presenting the latest project from British designer du jour Faye Toogood. Returning\r\nonce again to her signature style of stripped back elegance, Toogood partnered\r\nwith London design studio Established & Sons as part of the London Design\r\nFestival, to create her concept space The Conductor.

\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nInstalled at Established & Son's East London showroom, The Conductor is a visually arresting interactive light installation, made up of a giant circuit board of cast resin switched and mounted fluorescent light bulbs. The space itself is tiled with iridescent panels, which emit\r\na low oily hue. Garlands of cable are draped from an industrial table, centred in the middle of the room, which connect in a tangled mess to the adjoining light bulbs, providing an immersive visual experience. When the participant enters, they are bathed in a rich light, which adds to the overall delight of interacting with the space.

The Conductor was built in response to a new resin furniture collection by Japanese architect Jo Nagasaka, which is equally industrial and minimal in feel. An exercise in flawless and mood elating design, Toogood once again exercises an acute aesthetic finesse.
