Bud and Breakfast offers weed-friendly lodgings for the cannabis lover

It’s hard being a stoner. Even in the places were recreational and medicinal marijuana use is legal, it’s rare that you can smoke up in public places. Enter Bud and Breakfast, the marijuana friendly version of Airbnb.

Created by Sean Roby, Bud and Breakfast is there to provide a safe and legal place for tourists to smoke weed in states and countries where recreational and medicinal marijuana use is legal. Travellers can choose from properties such as a penthouse in Boulder, Colorado to a Bambook Bungalow in the Caribbean.

Along with the typical info (price, facilities, etc.), there’s advice on the best places to stock up on supplies, instructions as to where exactly in the house you can smoke, and information on what paraphernalia is provided (be it papers, a bong, grinders, etc.), all in order to ensure that holiday goers are fully prepared when they arrive. There’s also a ‘bud and breakfast’ option, which, unsurprisingly, is a breakfast filled with the key ingredient in the form of pancakes and muffins.

Bud and Breakfast is the latest in a string of commercial marijuana ventures. While it’s unlikely to ever provide any real competition to the likes of Airbnb, Bud and Breakfast is an example of a new type of niche, weed-driven tourism that’s growing steadily.
