German tea producer Hälssen & Lyon has designed an unusual calendar made entirely from tea leaves. The leaves were processed and compressed, and then cut into squares and stamped with an individual date. The process of making was quite labour intensive – as each calendar leaf had to be robust, but also thin enough to dissolve in boiling water.

With the calendar, there is a different cup of tea to be enjoyed every day of the year. Hälssen & Lyon wanted to combine the oldest drink in the world with the oldest advertising medium.

Unfortunately, the calendar cannot be purchased, as it was designed as a promotional product, and sent only to a few selected partners of the company. Let's hope that come December, their tea is still fresh.
