Tanlines Not The Same
New York Indie band release an interactive music video that looks like a moving Photoshop
The nature of the music video game has changed. Instead of television channels showing the same eight videos on a continues loop for months at a time, musicians are focussing almost entirely on the internet as the platform for their videos.
Brooklyn duo Tanlines latest song, Not the Same sees a very innovative use of the medium. Viewers can change the background, visible musicians and instruments, colour palette and more as the video plays, all set in a Photoshop-esque window.
Like a few interactive fashion show stories we’ve looked at, this seems like a smart way to encourage a deeper viewer engagement, as well as stand out from a hugely over saturated market.
