Australian artist and body ‘architect’ Lucy McRae has collaborated with Harvard biologist Sheref Mansy to create a revolutionary new product that is set to change the way we wear perfume.   Currently at research stage, a capsule has been developed that when digested causes our body to release a natural fragrance through perspiration glands. The scent is entirely unique to the individual and dependent on factors such as emotions, temperature, physical activity and sexual arousal. According to the team, the campaign was initiated 'to open discussion with the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, fashion and technology industries, challenging the way we could consume perfume in the future'. The ambitious project explores how fragrance can be unique to an individual who wears it, and also gives us a glimpse into how we might be wearing - and digesting - perfumes in the future.
