Celebrate the launch of Sonos Studio's magazine
Sonos Studio Vol.2 is the second edition of a quarterly magazine from Sonos. Vol.2 celebrates the world of our London collaborators working in sound, music, art and technology including Giles Martin, Hudson Mohawke, Yuri Suzuki, Charlie Dark, NTS, Random International, Tom Dixon, the Royal College of Art, Roisin Murphy, 22 Tracks, Abbey Road Studios and more. The publication of Vol.2 heralds the imminent arrival in Shoreditch of Sonos Studio London this September, a public space dedicated to music, technology and art – explored through an evolving programme of listening events, exhibitions, performance, workshops, artist talks and screenings.

On Friday 14th August, Sonos Studio host an exhibition that brings to life the magazine via print and a day-long programme of events, including work from the Royal College of Art/Sonos ‘SoundObject’ collaboration; a lunchtime hands-on art and tech demo from interactive technology artists Marshmallow Laser Feast and artist/inventor Yuri Suzuki. Plus a discussion with SoundObject/RCA tutor John Fass.

The day kicks off with an early morning music and exercise theme, with a special yoga session by Frame, topped and tailed with a kettlebell training class with a twist presented by RCA students. Also throughout the day there will be the chance to listen to artist Gwilym Gold's debut record 'A Paradise', (a week before its official release on Brille Records), accompanied by visuals from Gold’s long-term collaborator Colin Henderson. Plus from 1-4pm on Friday afternoon, there will be an NTS takeover in Cream Café. All events are free to attend and spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis
