Sony has demonstrated a prototype of their new digital media workstation at SIGGRAPH '98, the result of a collaborative agreement between Sony and Intergraph. The Windows NT-based workstation is equipped with dual Pentium(tm) II processors, for high speed processing, and is ideally suited for both b roadcast and post-production companies involved in the creation of content. The workstation has a 19-inch rack- mountable chassis for a smooth installation and efficient operation.

"We're pleased to have this opportunity to work closely with Sony - and in the process share our industry-leading advances in digital media workstation technology for Windows NT," said Wade Patterson, president and CEO, Intergraph Computer Systems. "Our ongoing relationship with Sony has been very fruitful, and will help Intergraph better serve the needs of broadcast and post- production professionals in this exploding field of Windows NT- based digital media production."
