SONOS Playground
Music and visuals combine in this interactive exhibition that lets visitors control sound and lights with their bodies.
If you happen to be in New York, head down to the Museum of Moving Image, where you can immerse yourself in your favourite music, as part of the Spectacle: The Music Video exhibition.Sonos Playground Deconstructed is an interactive installation that lets visitors manipulate animation around them through their movement, all to their chosen music. Once a song is selected from an iPad running Spotify, users can watch the space around them come alive with geometrical monochrome line patterns shifting and twitching. The motion-tracking technology lets users control animation around them through their movement.
The installation was designed by a group of multimedia artists and coders from Aramique, Red Paper Heart and Fake Love design agencies, who wanted to bring minimalist art to life and immerse viewers in its environment. It was also inspired by wall drawings of Sol LeWitt and the sound of the Sonos Playbar.
