Sol Cinema, a micro movie house powered entirely by the sun, is winding its way around the UK. With the help of some brick cladding and Roman columns, Jo Furlong has transformed the once disused 1960s caravan into the lavish cinema it is today. The cinema will be in attendance at a variety of film and music festivals this year and is also available for private hire – the price of which includes the usherette. The ingenious idea is intended to help recapture the public’s imagination for the ‘big’ screen, creating a fun experience for all the family. We think they’ve succeeded.
