Customize, enhance and add features to your smartphone through its case

Nexpaq, the latest Kickstarter success story, allows you to add and remove physical modules directly to and from the back of your phone case. “Think Lego bricks with special powers,” say the designers.

Each Nexpaq case has built-in battery power (1000 mAh) to provide your smartphone with the extra juice needed to powers all of the modules. So far modules include: additional battery power, amplified speaker, super LED flashlight, SD card reader, temperature and humidity sensor, hot keys, flash USB drive, air quality detector, breathalyzer, laser and back up memory with hundreds of design prototypes in the making. Nexpaq offers full module compatibility between iOS and Android smartphones, and works across multiple generations of phones.

What was daunting about Google Ara’s modular phone was having to sacrifice your current operating system; Nexpaq tackles this issue by simply adding modules to it. More and more designers are developing modular products that can be adjusted to grow along with you. With conscious consumption a growing concern,  lifelong design appeals to consumers searching for products with longevity.
