Creative co-working at the first members only coffee shop

Net.Works, a new creative co-working environment, has added a new tier to its space in Holloway: the first member’s only coffee shop. A monthly fee of £10 gives the those without an office a place to work away from home, without the guilt associated with occupying a space in a busy cafe or the disturbing chatter. Offering three complimentary drinks with your membership, £5 unlimited batch brew, pastries and sandwiches, SL28 proposes an interesting new role for cafes as co-working spaces for freelancers.
Responding to a need for co-working spaces for a community of creative freelancers who spend most of their working days in local coffee shops, SL28 is a work environment which aims to enhance productivity while serving quality coffee and snacks. Creating an engaging and inspiring atmosphere was the motivation for the founders, who describe Net.Works as “a creative co-working space connecting professionals through a powerful network of limitless opportunities”. SL28 is therefore not only a comfortable work environment but also a place to expand one's network over a shared love of coffee.
Members only clubs are usually hangouts for the well heeled, but SL28 has steered away from the exclusivity and status symbol aspect and more towards creating a community workspace for likeminded creatives. In cities where both creative energy and rent for office space is continuously on the rise, co-working spaces like SL28 and platforms like Hoffice are changing the game for freelancers.
