We're hosting Private I, an exhibition looking at data literacy
As part of London Design Festival, Protein will be hosting the Private I exhibition in our gallery. Looking at the theme of data literacy, the exhibition is produced and curated by data design agency Signal Noise, who will be hosting a forum to kick things off next Wednesday.
With stories about leaks becoming all the more frequent and our audience survey showing that consumers are getting more savvy with their info, the question of whether you really know what your personal data is doing is a pertinent one. And that’s what Signal Noise is set to explore.
Journalist and writer Jon Bernstein – former digital director of the New Statesman and multimedia editor at Channel – will chair a series of talks with contributions from Signal Noise’s founder Christian Thumer, Hazel Grant from law firm Fieldfisher and Jamie Smith of personal information experts Ctrl-shift. The exhibition will feature the work of data visualisers, designers and sound artists, including Superflux, Ithaca Audio, Josh Gowen and others.
