Sensory Concentration Space
Take a break in these calming insulation pods designed by British artist, Freyja Sewell

British artist Freyja Sewell invites people to take a moment to get away from the increasingly hectic modern world in her specially built concentration pods. Made from 100% wool felt, the tent like structures are designed to block out outside noises and smells to allow occupants a chance to focus on their own bodies and the physical sensations around them.
With hidden speakers, colour changing LEDs and subtly perfumed felt discs, the pods offer people a calming atmosphere and a respite from the stresses of daily life.
It’s interesting to see another project that aims to address the issue of the seemingly inescapable stresses and demands of modern life. Taking a slightly different route, although still aiming to achieve the same result, was Bossy, the interactive stress ball we looked at recently.
