See into the future with Daniel Arsham’s apocalyptic prophesy, Future Relic 04

Daniel Arsham is somewhat of a jack of all trades. One half of Snarkitecture, the experimental art and architecture firm responsible for some of the most exciting installations of late, Arsham’s also a solo artist, a filmmaker, and a serious celebrity scenester, (Usher, Jay Z and Pharrell Williams all regard themselves as big fans). Now Arsham's adding environmental campaigner to his curriculum vitae.

For his latest work, Future Relic 04, Arsham depicts a world on the brink of destruction. In the video, ice caps are melting, water levels are rapidly rising, and the human race is facing extinction. Two pilots are tasked with saving it. Whether they will or not is unsure.

Future Relic 04 is the fourth instalment of a larger video series starring the likes of Juliette Lewis and James Franco, and culminates in a feature film due to be released in 2016.

Climate change is finally being acknowledged as one of, if not the, biggest threat we’re currently facing. Arsham’s video only cements it’s place in popular culture. Now, consumers are demanding that brands do their bit to stop Arsham’s scenario becoming a reality.
