Artist and photographer Eric Fischer has created a series of visuals called See Something Or Say Something that show where people have taken photos and sent tweets. Using information collected from social networks Flickr and Twitter, Fischer has created data visualisations that use the locations of where photos have been taken and tweets have been sent. In the images, the blue dots are locations of Twitter posts, the red dots are locations of Flickr pictures, and the white dots are the places where both have been posted. The result is a series of stunning infographic maps of different cities around the world. Recently we've seen similar projects where art and graphics have been generated from social network and digital data, such as The Connected States of America and the street art of Ted Mikulski, which tracked tweets in public spaces. All these projects help to show our footprint on the world through the growing mass of social networking information.
