The Scion iQ is part of a generation of small, ‘sub compact’ cars that are increasingly hitting the roads. Having previously been available in Japan, the iQ has just been introduced in the US following its launch last month in Los Angeles.

Barely ten feet in length, the tiny car still manages to hold four average sized people, and the carefully considered design means that while certain features such as the glove box have been eliminated, every bit of space is utilised effectively.

To coincide with the launch, Scion has produced an exhibition that celebrates function within design. The show has been curated by Brooklyn based illustrators Gluekit and features work from companies and individuals with a strong graphic style. It's the first of three design related shows to be held in the Scion Installation space in Culver City, CA and will run until 8th October.
