Kate Spade label lets consumers browse and buy the new line through touch-screen storefronts.
For the launch of its line Saturday, apparel brand Kate Spade partnered up with eBay to install interactive window displays that enable shoppers to buy all their favourite designer items at the touch of a screen.
Consumers can browse and get more information on a variety of clothes and accessories, with a new product arriving each Saturday. The checkout is very simple and secure. No credit card information is needed, it only requires entering a mobile phone number. Next, the window shoppers will receive a confirmation text, and the selected items will be delivered for free within an hour.
The digital storefronts, which popped up at four formerly vacant shops across New York, will be active 24 hours a day until July 7.
