Want to know what those driverless Google Cars 'see' as they ghost around roads? Then this video might be for you. Timo Arnall, creative director of BERG in London has created a montage of found footage illustrating how computers see reality.

Comprised of discovered clips stitched together, the film shows how machines gather meaning from the physical and human world around them. Mostly traffic patterns and facial recognition, it's an interesting insight into the various methods used by software to track moving objects. And perhaps something that most of us take for granted. A little bit eerie, but also somewhat beautiful, take a look at the film above.
