London-based radio station and record label Rinse, which champions the city’s underground music scene, is presenting a visual retrospective at East London’s Truman Brewery. The exhibition is a celebration of the design and photography that has been developed over the years alongside the label’s releases, FWD>> club nights and other events. Works on display include contributions by photographer Shaun Bloodworth and design agency Give Up Art who have collaborated over the years to form Rinse’s strong visual identity.   Rinse has risen from being a pirate radio station supporting London’s niche music subculture over 15 years ago to being the forerunners in promoting today’s bass music scene. Always in tune with current youth culture and expanding its horizons, this exhibition establishes Rinse as more than just a radio station or record label, as the brand dips its toes into the arts world.   Other similar projects, such as Jamie XX’s audio-visual collaboration with Quayola which we recently featured the teaser for, show the increasing cross-overs in the worlds of music and art.   The exhibition ends 21st August, the day after Rinse celebrates the 10th anniversary of forward-thinking club night FWD>> in a secret East London location.
