Ring
A ring device recognises finger gestures and translates them into digital commands for your smart tech.
Just when you thought it couldn't get easier to interact digitally, a new Kickstarter project that proves you wrong. Ring wants to show you how stupid it is to actually push buttons on your mobile device or computer when a simple finger swipe can access all your applications. The precise gesture recognition technology of the ring allows the user to interact with mobile applications by drawing the symbol in the air, make direct payments or write a text. Integrated LED lights and a vibration sensor also notifies you of incoming messages or phone calls.
Tokyo and California based startup Logbar Inc. – who focus on gesture recognition and power-saving technologies – have already reached their crowdfunding target. After just a day and a half the kickstarter project for Ring has been funded completely – again, faster than you might think possible.
